About ICJS (Short Points)

  • ICJS (Interoperable Criminal Justice System) integrates CCTNS with eCourts, ePrisons, eForensics, eProsecution, Fingerprint, and WCD systems.

Crime & Criminal Search

Key based searches for person of interest from the searchable data of Police, Court & Prisons at the NDC. This information of accused is further added with data directly accessed from the states/ domains and mapping with other domains.


Criminal Network

Linking of a criminal with other criminals, based on common parameters, like FIRs/Cases, Visitors and Lodging in prisons, is visualised graphically for crime investigation purpose.


Crime Analysis & Reporting

Crime Pattern can be analysed based on offences, place of incident, person profile etc from the Police data. Case / FIR timeline-based analysis based on the Court data. Prison Inmate data is analysed based on inmate profile, offence and legal parameters.


Vehicle Search

Key field-based searches on vehicles and property involved in the crime PAN India can be made by the investigation agencies.


Missing Person Search

Persons reported to be missing, found, dead bodies can be searched on PAN India basis to help the agencies in investigation.


Fingerprint Search

This is based on the fingerprints as captured by the Prisons for inmates admitted so far. NAFIS is also in process to be integrated with it for the accused wanted by the Police. 


  • External Domain Searches
  • Additional domains like CBI, NIA, RPF, ALIS and NCB can be searched for the person of Interest. Any domain required by the Investigation Agencies can be integrated as desired by the MHA.


    ICJS Mini Statement / Docket

    The IDs of all the stakeholders are mapped and are shown as a document. Mini Statement is the set of information from centralised ICJS data with current operative information. Comprehensive Docket is complete data from respective domains and state data.


    Monitoring Tools

    There are three monitoring tools for tracking investigation pertaining to offences like Sexual offences, Child related etc. Inmate data pertaining to sexual offences is also kept as repository (NDSO).
